The Treeline is a clear view of AI’s transformation of work, written for people who need to see what’s happening.

Below treeline is a forest of hot takes, panic performance, and churn. You can’t see more than a few feet.

The Treeline is the altitude where the noise thins and the view opens up. I spend a lot of time in the forest — reading widely, curating with judgment from careers in intelligence and tech — then bring back what’s worth knowing.

Each issue has two parts: the view from above, a short narrative summary of the signal, and the log, a sourced record of what happened down in the trees.

The em dashes are mine, but I do use AI to help with writing, organizing, and workflow.

I don’t believe safety is the highest virtue, nor that risk should always be avoided. I believe in acting in the face of risk. Action creates signal.
